Design
We offer reverse engineering, part design, design for additive manufacturing, and general plastic design advice.
Education
Our program's main focus is educating the next generation of plastic engineers and manufacturers. We do this through our classes Introduction to Plastics and Introduction to Composites. In these classes, students get hands-on experience using the machines in the Polymer lab Page. The program also offers supplemental field trips to industry facilities and workshops about specific areas such as additive manufacturing.
Molds
We offer mold design and manufacture in-house, depending on the complexity of machining. our molds are usually designed for Master Unit Die systems.
Compounding
Our compounder is a workhorse, our lab can produce 1kg of biofiller composite pellets every 45 minutes. We have made proof-of-concept pellets from wood ash, turmeric powder, Seaweed algae, spent hops, wheat straw, rice straw, almond husk, bamboo utensils, shitake, cordyceps, and coffee grounds. Contact us and we can try out your agro filler as well.
Testing
We offer physical material testing such as tensile, Compression, and Impact. We can also do FTIR, SEM, and DSC testing. We offer marine biodegradation testing and proof of concept for new materials in our machines.
Production
Our lab is capable of low-volume plastic production, More information about our machines can be seen on the polymer lab page. We are equipped to make parts for local companies.
